STEP Student Council Team (2005-2006)

The first STEP Student Council Team is elected by all students and staff members of the institute. The elections were held in March 2005 and following members took oath as members of the “Student Council”.

About the Elections 2005:

Well … it was an extremely exciting and memorable event!!!

Elections @ STEP … seemed every one was waiting for the super duper student event.

Campaigning, convincing, making big promises, ‘bribing', arguing and yet … awaiting for the final poll were all bits of activities! The election fever reached its peak after the formal student assembly and final agendas put by all contestants.

Following were the final contestants of Student Elections for the six official positions:

Mr. Abrar Ali, Ms. Amna Iftikhar, Ms. Sadaf Iqbal, Mr. Usama Rana, Ms. Isra Butt, Mr. Mamoon Khan, Mr. Salman Ahmed, Mr. Taimore Khan, Mr. Syed Mehsam Raza, Mr. Imran Akram, Ms. Sobia Rasheed, Mr. Abdul Raheem, Ms. Maryam Fayyaz, Mr. Hamza Siddique, Ms. Sana Khawaja, Ms. Saima Bashir and Ms. Ambreen Pervaiz.

As they say, there has to be only one winner and therefore, not every one won! However, the management and student body would like to thank every one who contested. The oath ceremony for the newly elected Student Council Team and College Ambassadors was held on March 24, 2005 . It was a posh event with robes on badges exhibited by the newly elected counsellors. However, the election week ended at the cool & jazzy party thrown by the elected members of Council Team with food, music & fun!

We wish the Student Council Team all the very best in pursuing their jobs and responsibilities, which could benefit all students of the college.
