| “NEO IN ART” … Annual Art Exhibition by Faculty of Art & Design
The 3 days artwork exhibition “Neo in Art” was held from April 1 – 3, 2005 at Nairang Galleries, Lahore . Arranged by De Creatif Circle in collaboration with faculty of Art & Design, STEP and The SAEL Movement, the effort addressed the strategic objective of both De Creatif Circle and The SAEL Movement to encourage “art” among society at large and youth in specific.
About forty amateur artists from the Faculty of Art & Design at STEP exhibited the marvelous art pieces, created in variety of techniques. It was even unbelievable for the young participants that their work was not only highly appreciated by visitors but was also sold as a token of the positive & encouraging gesture by people from almost all walks of life.
Mr. R.M Naeem and Ms. Shahida Anjum graciously performed their part as the jury members to further excel the level of motivation among all participants. Ms. Mariam (of Cathedral School , Lahore ) opened the first day of exhibition as the honorable “Chief Guest” and hailed every one with her extremely motivating & enthusiastic comments and feedback. In her words, “…it was wonderful to have been to this exhibition, the artwork was marvelous and one could feel the depth of the paintings, very well done!”
Dr. Shehla J. Akram (President Women Chamber of Commerce, Lahore ) opened the second day of exhibition as “Chief Guest” and viewed all paintings with great interest with inquisitive comments added by the artists. She too appreciated the great efforts of De Creatif Circle and Faculty of Art & Design at STEP to pass on the valuable love for art & creativity onto the next generation.
The three days exhibition witnessed memorable moments of expression, glory of success by artists and unprecedented appreciation for the participants. The management and teachers were also praised to put so much effort in promoting art.
The underlined notion is to continue this remarkable effort in shape of such beautifully decorated events & exhibitions in future.
