A Level in Art & Design

A Level Art & Design (Vocationally known as BTEC Nationals) are QCF Level 3 qualifications in the UK and internationally, designed to provide highly specialist work-related qualifications. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment and further education.

Qualification Objectives

Vocational A Level in Art and Design have been developed to:

  • Provide education and training for Art & Design learners
  • Provide opportunities for Art & Design students to achieve internationally recognised Level 3 qualification
  • Provide full-time learners the opportunity to entre employment in Art & Design sector
  • Provide full-time learners the opportunity to progress onto higher qualifications such as Bachelors Degree specialising in many Art & Design related streams (including Fashion, Textiles, Interior, Graphic, Fine Arts and many more)

Credit Hour Detail:

  • Qualification credit value: a minimum of 120 credits
  • Mandatory units: 50 credits
  • Optional units: 70 credits

  • Total Duration: 2 Years
  • Total Units: 18 (equivalent to 3 A Level)
  • Total Semester 4: (6 months per semester)
