Textile Design & Management

Textile Design programme prepares learners to design many elements including imagination, creativity and an understanding of technical considerations. It aims to produce designers who are equipped with the necessary technical skills and aesthetic understanding required to function effectively in highly competitive conditions while catering to the local as well as international textile market needs.

Course Description:

This programme explores the major textile design practices – Embroidery, print, texture and weave – alongside digital and non-traditional approaches, trend prediction and presentation. It also offers workshops in alternative surface treatments, media and technologies. It seeks to maintain the vital balance between the inspirational and the technical outcomes, bringing together conceptual, production and critical experiences. Textile design comprises both surface design and structural design.
