STEP for "English Language Learning Programmes " 
STEP Faculty of Modern Languages offers variety
of English language courses to cater needs of individuals at different
age levels and academic abilities - ranging from Beginners to Advance
level.
All the courses have set of predetermined out comes

STEP for "International English Language
Testing Systems (IELTS) Preparation" 
IELTS is a test of English language proficiency,
developed by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate
. IELTS is now widely accepted as an evidence of "Proficiency
in English Language" by the users of other languages.
IELTS is ideal for you if;
You want to improve your English by working towards an internationally recognised qualification.
You need to demonstrate to your employer or sponsor that you have made progress while studying English language.
You need to improve your language level for entrance to a school, college or university, or for prospective employment.
Hours per Week:
You will spend good ten hours of the week in preparatory sessions
and twelve hours per month in assessment sessions.
Assessment Sessions:
Students sit weekly preparatory IELTS Exam arranged by Assessments
& Results Centre (ARC). This comprehensive test helps students
to become familiar with British Council's exam pattern.
At STEP, three preparatory IELTS courses are offered
Slow & Steady
This course prepares you comprehensively for the test in eight weeks
time.
Fast & Furious
This course prepares you comprehensively for the test in four weeks
time.
Slow & Steady with Foundation Studies:
This course prepares you comprehensively for the test in twelve
weeks time, especially designed for the students who need some extra
help in developing their vocabulary, grammar and analytical skills.

STEP for " Executive Business English"
This course offers you a clear and comprehensive
overview on how to communicate effectively for every business situation,
from sensitive feedback from employees to persuasive communications
for customers. Plus, especial module is there to help you practice
and polish your speaking skills through learner centered activities.

STEP for "English for Kids" 
The programme aims at making child’s debut
in learning English memorable, motivating and fun.
Course Features:
English for Kids Programme is developed to offer support that students
need to develop the language skills. Students work cohesively
on four major areas; reading, writing, listening and speaking emphasizing
upon different issues as;
1 - Language Comprehension
Incorporating English Language in other subjects like: numeracy,
science and arts.
2 - Communication Enhancement
Presenting own ideas, opinion and knowledge through discussions,
debates, story telling, drama and other lexical modes.
3 - Phonics
Applying knowledge of phonics in writing, reading and speaking.
4 - Spelling
How to put the phonological knowledge acquired to spell with enhanced accuracy and confidence.
5 - Sentence
Having a repertoire of sentence structure and using them effectively. 6 - Writing Organisation
Organising and shaping writing effectively at word, sentence and
text level.
7 - Information Retrieval
Extracting and evaluating information from a range of literary &
non-literary sources.

This new innovative programme has been developed
especially for students with first language other than English, who
wish to combine English language with their professional area. There
are several options to choose from:

STEP for "German Language" 
German Language course is suitable for those
who want to experience and live in the German speaking environment
for professional or academic purposes. The course is designed for
all levels from beginners to advance and it caters needs of every
age group.
Programme Structure:
STEP1: Understanding and using daily expressions.
STEP2: Understanding and applying grammatical structures
in a variety of relevant contexts.
STEP3: Using accurate, complex and varied language
skills for studies, work & social interaction.
Study Hours:
Duration of each level is two months with three teaching sessions
in one week. Classes are available in the mornings and in the evenings,
subject to staff availability .
Academic Counselling:
All learners are provided with free academic counselling on issues
related to studying in Germany that includes getting admissions
in German universities, finding an appropriate course of study and
living in Germany.
Immigration Advice:
Whilst studying German Language at STEP, students are also provided
free advice on visa processes and interviews.
The Learning Environment:
STEP provides you with more than adequate learning resources including
a Language Lab, equipped with modern learning resources, German
literature and Audio Visual Aids, and access to our excellent computing
and communication resources.
