On Friday, May 6, 2005 Ms. Nilofer Shahid was invited by Faculty of Art & Design in “STEP Institute of Professional Development ” to talk to the Art & Design students about her experiences in the Fashion Industry. Ms Shahid is one of Pakistan 's most famous designers and is also well known internationally. She's been working with international fashion designers and has designed for renowned celebrities. She is the first Chief Patron of “Pakistan Fashion Council”.

Ms. Shahid told the students about how she has managed to come such a long way. She encouraged them to work hard and be successful professionals. She promised that Art & Design students will be promoted and excelled by the Fashion Council of Pakistan and that she will personally help management whenever required. She appreciated STEP faculty of Art & Design that it has brought good image in providing quality education in a considerably shorter period of time.

Her visit brought enthusiasm among students and the conceptual programme “Knowing the Art of Success” has proven very helpful to students.
